Well, here it is, the extremely long awaited premier of the second season of Code Geass, and it gets to be the first post on my blog! (Unfortunately, that one screenshot off of Google is all your getting at the moment, the computer that I would use to take screenshots has crapped out, hopefully it’ll be fixed soon)
So, everyone was wondering what the hell happened after Lelouch and Suzaku pulled out guns on each other….
Well this answers nothing. Other than the fact that they both lived. I’m serious.
The episode begins with CC and the remaining Black Knights plotting Japan’s comeback (or at least the Knights were, CC just kind of stood their and smirked) up in a zeppelin, and, according to Britannia, Zero is dead.
Cut to Lelouch being chased around school by Villeta…sensei. He escapes and goes riding to a casino with his brother, Rollo. This is all being monitered by Britannian soldiers, doing their, ‘Oh we’re so evil and corrupt’ thing.
When there, we discover that the Japanese’s rights have become even less since the ‘defeat’ of Zero, a year earlier. At the casino, they’re being forced to fight each other, among other things. While there, Lelouch bumps into a bunny girl waitress, and, hey, it’s Kallen.
However, Lelouch doesn’t recognize her. Suddenly, some big mafia guy shows up, and trys to take her, but Lelouch challenges him to a game of chess.
Lelouch wins, but Mr. Mafia says him losing will hurt his reputation, and orders his thugs to grab Lelouch.
However, at this moment, The Order of The Black Knights crashes they’re zeppelin into the building, and launches an attack. Meanwhile, this is apparently what the Britannian soldiers were hoping for, and they send their forces into the building as well.
As all this is happening, Lelouch and Rollo are attempting to hide somewhere safe, but they get seperated. It’s revealed that the Black Knights were attempting to recover Lelouch, and soon he is found by CC. She reminds him of their contract and how they are accomplices, right before getting shot by the Britannians.
They reveal that Lelouch was being used as bait, and they’ve been monitering every thing he’s done. They then tell him that his usefulness as bait is over, and they’re going to kill him.
And, practically mirroring the scene from the beginning of the first season, Lelouch wishes he had power to stop all of this. CC, once again unneffected by bullets, stands back up, turning to him and saying that he does.
She kisses him, and Lelouch regains all his memories. He then uses the Geass to order the Britannians to die. They obviously oblige, and then the Knights arrive. Lelouch is ready to take back up his position as Zero.
Now, back in Britannia, Suzaku promises the Emperor that he will kill Zero.
And there you go, my crappy summary, it’d probably be better, but I’m very rushed for time. Anyways, it was a pretty good first episode, and yes, there WAS Pizza Hut. Oh, Code Geass…
Anyways, the question I’m wondering about the most is the identity of Rollo. I mean, siblings showing up out of no where is never good. Am I the only one having Buffy flashbacks? Yeah, that didn’t end well. Hopefully this won’t end with Lelouch jumping into a portal and dying. ;P
Next week, it looks like Lelouch is back to his old self. Maybe we’ll see some more of what happened to the other characters.
